Florian Flatscher
About
PhD Candidate at the FACET group at NTNU.
The focus of the PhD work lies in investigating the growth of dendtritic lithium structures in solid electrolytes and the development of mitigation strategies. A better understanding of this phenomena allows for the transition to all solid state lithium batteries with higher capacities and faster charging.
Next to normal electrochemical methods used for creation of the dendritic structures, impedance spectroscopy is used to determine the state of electrolyte and its interface, further confirmed with optical microscopy and FIB SEM.
