Fredrik Bakkemo Kostøl
About
Fredrik is trained as an economist from the University of Oslo and holds a PhD in economics from NTNU. He is currently employed as an associate professor at the Department of Industrial Economics and Technology Management at NTNU. Fredrik is particularly interested in labor market economics, and his research includes studies of the impact of trade unions and collective bargaining on the structure of wages and productivity in firms. Fredrik has previously worked in the private sector as a senior economist at Samfunnsøkonomisk Analyse, where he has experience leading projects for both public and private clients. In this role, he focused particularly on the Norwegian model for wage formation and other labor market-related issues, the housing market, and infrastructure development, as well as conducting cost-benefit analyses. Fredrik has strong experience with econometric modeling, both of microdata and macroeconomic time series.
