Frida Yee is a PhD candidate at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Department of Social Work. She holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's degree in Migration and Intercultural Relations (EMMIR). Her academic background is shaped by international and interdisciplinary experiences across Europe, Latin America and Japan.
She is part of the project ANCHOR: Advancing Neighborhood, Community, and Housing for the integration of Refugee families, an inter-disciplinary project within NTNU's Community strategic research area.
Her PhD research explores refugee families' wellbeing and experiences of housing, belonging and community in Norway. She is interested in qualitative research methods that contribute to socially just practices.
