Investigation of fluid-structure interactions (FSI) in a radial blade cascade subject to forced excitation.
The work focuses on the study of the interaction between flowing water and blades in a fix-radial cascade configuration under specific excitations pattens, as representation of a high-head Francis turbine under stressed conditions. The research involves both experimental and numerical studies. Experiments will provide essential results to validate the numerical model of multiphysics. Modal and FEM analysis will provide an insight of structure and damping behavior, following PIV measurements tecniques coupled with CFD analysis will provide insight of the fluid behaviour.
