Background and activities
PhD candidate in engineering, researching standards for digital twin ships under supervision of Prof. Henrique Gaspar. Interested in digitalization of the maritime sector and design methodology of maritime systems. Enthusiastic about open research and, by extension, development of open software. Co-supervised one master thesis.
MSc in Ship Design at NTNU in Ålesund. During my master thesis, I collaborated with the Marine Research Group at University College London (UCL).
Engineering degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil (UFPE). During the engineering degree, I had one academic year of exchange studies at NTNU with a Science Without Borders scholarship granted by the Brazilian government and Statoil. I was also granted a scholarship on the Program for Development of Human Resources by Petrobras. Brief industrial experience as a naval architecture intern in the Vard group.
