About Research

About

PhD researcher in transport modelling since 2024, focusing on pedestrian behaviour at mesoscopic level. Applies behavioural data and modelling to support infrastructure planning and policy development. Professional background in the railway sector provides insight into multimodal transport.

Always interested in research collaborations :) .

Research

My PhD investigates how people walk and how cities and more rural areas can plan for more sustainable mobility. I analyse GPS tracking and survey data to capture differences in pedestrian behaviour and route choice at the mesoscopic level. These insights feed into a decision-making framework to prioritise infrastructure investment and design improvements. Alongside my doctoral work, I contribute to projects on digital twins and use citizen surveys and stakeholder interviews to understand local needs and support mobility transitions.

Mobilitylab greater Trondheim (MoST)

MoST is a research lab for sustainable urban mobility in Trondheim. It develops and tests digital technologies, planning methods and transport models to cut car traffic, support climate goals, and guide infrastructure decisions for creating future cities.
