Profile
Jayaprakash Rajasekharan (Jay) is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electric Power Engineering (IEL) at NTNU. He received the Bachelors in Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics and Communication from Madras University, Chennai, India, the Masters in Science (M.Sc.) degree in Communication Engineering from Technical University of Munich, Munich, Germany, and the Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) degree in Signal Processing from Aalto University, Espoo, Finland, in 2003, 2005 and 2016 respectively. The title of his Ph.D. thesis is Modeling Cooperative Behaviour in Smart Grids and Cognitive Radio Systems. Previously, he was a Senior Researcher at the Research and Innovation Department in Smart Innovation Norway, Halden, Norway.
Research Interests
Jay's research activities mainly focus on energy informatics applied to flexibility systems, smart grids, electricity markets, power system balancing, electric vehicles integration and renewable techno-economics.
