Jonathan Henry Reams

About

Jonathan Reams, PhD, is currently doing action research projects exploring how to scale micro-skill development for habituating core leadership practices. He approaches this work drawing on experiences from holding a position at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2007 until 2024, serving as editor-in-chief of Integral Review from 2005 to 2023, and being chief creative officer at the Center for Transformative Leadership and Adeptify.

Jonathan is driven by an insatiable curiosity about the essence of human nature and how to cultivate this essence in the service of leadership. He uses various outlets for achieving this. For 18 years, at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, he taught and did research on leadership development, coaching and counseling. From 2005 until 2023 he served as Editor-in Chief of Integral Review, A Transdisciplinary and Transcultural Journal for New Thought, Praxis and Research. He is also a co-founder of the Center for Transformative Leadership. Jonathan’s Ph.D. is in Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University.

Jonathan practices the cultivation of leadership through consulting and leadership development program design and delivery. He brings awareness based technology to this work, focusing on how the inner workings of human nature can develop leadership capacities for today’s complex challenges. He has done this for a diverse range of clients in the US, Canada and Europe.

Jonathan has presented at numerous international conferences on topics such as leadership development, consciousness research and transformative learning. His publications have been widely read and used in graduate level leadership programs. They include: Maturing Leadership. Courses

RAD6505 - Leadership Development and Organizational Transformation

My main teaching in the Masters in Counsleing program was a couse on Coaching and Leadership Development. I also taught parts of the introduction to counseling theory for 18 years, and sections of the group counseling course.

In the NTNU continuing education program Masters in Managment, I taught Leadership Development and Organizational Transformation for 15 years.

Supervision

I supervised about 60 masters theses in the counsleing program, and a few in the masters of maangement program as well.

I supervised two PhD's at NTNU, and have been involved in co-supervising several other PhDs internationally.
