Since high school, Jonathan has been studying electronics. As part of his high school education, he worked at Roxar Flow Measurement AS for 2.5 years as an apprentice. There, he gained practical experience in the construction of electronic systems and troubleshooting them. He received a vocational/trade certificate in data electronics in 2016. He continued to take on jobs from Roxar Flow Measurement AS over the next 5 years while studying.

After his apprenticeship, he continued his education in electronics at the University of Stavanger (UiS). He first completed the one-year programme 'Preperatory course for engineering.' Jonathan then started the bachelor's program 'Automation and Electronics Design' at UiS, and received his bachelor's degree in 2021.

Jonathan's interests mainly lay in small electronics, which led him to continue his studies at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). There, he started at the two-year international master's program 'Electronic Systems Design' with a specialization in analog circuit design and radio systems. He received his master's degree in 2023.

His desire for a deeper understanding of electronics and to become a professor led Jonathan to pursue a Ph.D. He started his doctorate after the summer of 2023, and he is researching digital-to-analog converters (DAC).

In the fall semester of 2024, Jonathan had the opportunity to gain more experience as a lecturer. He took on the role of course coordinator for the subject Introduction to Analog and Digital Electronics (TTT4203). This involved managing the course and lecturing.

I have been working as a student/teaching assistant both when studying for my Bachelor's degree at UiS and when studying for my Master's degree at NTNU.

At the University of Stavanger (UiS) I was working as a student/teaching assistant in:

At the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) I was working as a student/teaching assistant in:

The Fall of 2024, I was offered a temporary position as a university lecturer at NTNU. During this semester, I was going to both be teaching and be the course coordinator of TTT4203 (Introduction to Analog and Digital Electronics).
