About Publications

About

Kalpanie Mendis obtained her Bachelors Degree (Honours) in Electrical and Information Engineering, from the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka in 2015. Following this, She pursued the Masters Degree in Information and Communication Technology with focus on 5G Ultra-reliable communications, at the University of Agder, Norway, subsequently completing studies in 2017. In early 2018, she started her PhD at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), working on the design of a communication architecture for power distribution grid protection and control. Her research interests lie on the areas of 5G end-to-end network slicing, intent-based networking, multi-RAT architectures, software-defined networking, network function virtualization, management and orchestration of networks and dependability.
