About

Katie Aurora Lineer is currently a Ph.D. candidate looking into the concepts of ineffability, visual metaphors and how they can create new opportunities for students to express their experiences with wellbeing. Katie uses her expertise in visual communication and graphic design to address ineffable (unexplainable and indescribable) experiences. Using visual metaphors, Katie explores how students can express their experiences through drawing so that they are better understood.

Katie's past work includes 13+ years as a graphic designer, art director and communications advisor. In additional, she has 4+ years teaching both as a middle school art teacher and a university assistant professor.
