Gabriel Hanssen Kiss, PhD is an Associated Professor at COMP/IDI and a senior engineer at the Operating Room of the Future, St Olavs hospital. He has a computer science engineer diploma from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, a PhD in engineering from K.U. Leuven, Belgium, main topic was visualization and automated polyp detection in virtual colonoscopy. His main area of expertise is related to medical image processing and visualization, extended reality and ultrasound technology. Special interests include volumetric data visualization, image registration and fusion as well as XR for medical and non-medical applications.
