Mahmoud Saber Refaei Kenawi
About
I am a Ph.D. candidate from Egypt under the Fireplug project by Norwegian Nature Research Institute (NINA).
My research involves estimating the footprint and land use impacts of various renewable energy sources in Norway, including assessing current facilities and forecasting expected occupation and footprint. I rely heavily on GIS and deal with a variety of remote sensing data and image processing techniques.
I hold a master's degree in environmental engineering with a focus on sustainable hydropower operation, as well as a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. I have three years of experience working in different disciplines of civil engineering, including structural engineering, BIM modeling, and BIM coordination.
