My research project Chemotherapy and Blood Induced Degradation of Surface Modified Intravascular Catheters is a two part project, where part 1 aims to investigate the impact of material-drug-biological system interactions, and how deployment from and degradation of medical devices results in loss of performance of the device. Part 2 is focused on the development, characterization and testing of biocomaptible and hemocompatible coatings for meddical devices.
This is a collaboration project between NTNU (Trondheim, Norway) KTH - Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden), The Swedish Red Cross University College (Stockholm, Sweden) and Karolinska Institute (Stockholm, Sweden)
