Background and activities
I belong to the separations techniques and reactior engineering group at the Department of Chemical Engineering.
My project focuses on unwanted crystallization on (heated) surfaces and in bulk liquids at conditions of natural gas production. I do experiments to determine the growth kinetics of calcium carbonate at such conditions and to understand how crystallization on surfaces (scaling) actually happen. To explain the effect of additives, we also work with fundamental question related to crystal growth mechanisms.
I have teaching duty related to my position. This is used on teaching a crystallization experiment in TKP4110/TKP4105, separation technology and reaction engineering. I also supervise and teach in TKP4190, fabrication and use of nanomaterials, and I supervise masterstudents in our group. As a part of the recruitment team at my department, I show the department's acivity to school classes and other visitors.

Work experience from Statoil Mongstad (four summers) as operator and in production planning.
Several trusted positions at faculty and department level at NTNU, as well as in political organisations. Currently, I am a board member in Tekna Trondheim.
I am passionate about communicating natural science in a way that inspires both students and the general public, but most preferably to children. Until fall 2014, I was responsible for Forskerfabrikken ("The Science Factory") in Trondheim, which arranges science classes for children in second half of primary school.
