Mari Karoline Wilhelmsen
About
I am a PhD candidate at the Department of Language and Literature. My project examines the metalinguistic factors in L2 and L3 language acquisition. The aim is to explore how we may operationalize and measure various metalinguistic abilities in teenage participants, and furthermore how these abilities possibly relate to L2 and L3 proficiency, extramural English practices, length of L3 instruction, and more.
The project is supervised by Anne Dahl, Kjersti Faldet Listhaug and Ben Anible.
I am part of the reserach group ForMAAL and a project member of CLIMA.
In addition to my project work, I also teach courses in the English section, I supervise BA students, and I arrange an MA workshop - a writing workshop for all MA students in our department. You can read more about the MA workshop here.
