About

Maria is a marine biochemist interested in marine biogeochemical processes and how they are influenced by climate change. She focuses on the characterization of organic matter in the ocean and the interaction of trace nutrients in the carbon cycle.

 

Her PhD project is part of the Nansen Legacy Project that aims to connect past, present and future scientific knowledge for the sustainable management of the Arctic environment and marine resources.
