Radiation coordinator of the Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering
Responsible for managing the daily operation of the XRD-lab at IMA.
Maintenance of instruments, calibration, optimization. Method development, data analysis, reports.
Practical/theoretical training and supervision of users.
I also organize workshops on the EVA and Topas software where the users can learn how to perform phase identification, quantitative analysis, thin-film strain/stress analysis, and structure determination via Rietveld refinement.
The lab is equipped with 6 diffractometers offering the possibility to characterize a wide range of materials (powders, bulk, and thin films) as well as to perform in-situ non-ambient experiments: -190°C to 1600°C under inert and reactive gas atmospheres.
