About
I am an associate professor in Norwegian didactics at the Institute for Teacher Education, NTNU. Since autumn 2021, I have been head of the section for Norwegian.
I teach, research, and supervise mainly in topics related to early literacy education, or talking and communicating in classrooms and in school in general. I took part in the research project FUS (Functional Writing in the First School Years), and work there on how writing instruction and learning unfold in classrooms, with an emphasis on both students and teachers.
My doctorate is in applied linguistics, and I have a particular interest in research on talk in interaction and communicative perspectives on language and communication in various professions. I have previously taught various subjects in applied linguistics, particularly within oral communication and communication in working life. Both my master's thesis and my doctorate were about police interrogations. I worked as a post-doctoral fellow on the project UTVEI - Development of the Counselling Interview in NAV, where we developed empirical-based workshops for NAV counsellors.
