About

Marit Solbjør is professor in health science (health sociology). She did her PhD in sociology on women's experiences with mammography screening, and has continued with studies of medical screening and cancer care. A research project on patients' experiences with cancer patient pathways was completed in 2021. Currently she is responcible for a project which explores men's views on prostate cancer diagnostics and articficial intelligence. Solbjør has also publised and contributed to a number of articles on user involvement in health services, and has supervised a project on the experiences of individuals on long-term sick-leave.
