CV

I am a PhD Candidate in the area of Nuclear Energy, as a part of the RAMS group at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (MTP). My background is Nuclear Engineering, with research on Proton-induced Nuclear Data, Nuclear Security and a Master level academic focus on Radioactive Waste Management & Decommissioning (RWMD).

Competencies

  • Nuclear Data
  • Nuclear Engineering
  • Nuclear Safety
  • Nuclear Security
  • Radioactive Waste Management and Decommissioning

Research

My main research interest is the nuclear safety aspect related to the nuclear energy industry in Norway. As Norway investigates a probable implementation of a nuclear power generation program, I intend to assess the current nuclear safety culture present at the existing research facilities, and the activities required to scale up to a power generation program.

My research at MTP, NTNU focuses on:

  • Norway's preparedness to undertake a nuclear power generation program, from a safety point of view
  • Assessment of nuclear safety culture present in the existing nuclear research facilities in Norway
  • Risk and reliability analysis of implementable nuclear tech options in Norway
  • RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety)

Publications

Potentially dangerous radionuclides to be used in credible RDD explosion scenarios at the proposed RNPP site

Nuclear security analysis of possible nuclear terrorist event at the Rooppur NPP
