About
Background
I am currently Associate Professor of English didactics in the Department of Teacher Education (ILU), where I teach courses related to teacher education and research methods in the English and Foreign Languages section.
I worked as a teacher of English at state schools in Turkey. I began my academic year at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University where I took different academic positions such as research assistant, assistant professor and associate professor from 2006 to 2022. I hold an Ed.D in TESOL from University of Exeter and an M.A in English Language Teaching from Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University. I joined NTNU in July 2022.
My research interests involve pre-service and in-service English language teacher education. I am specifically interested in teacher competence and teacher efficacy. I am also interested in self-regulated language learning, Extramural English and psychological constructs that are relevant to teaching and learning English as a foreign language.
