About

Michael Cheffena is a Professor at NTNU Gjøvik, Faculty of Engineering. He conducts research and teaching within the field of radio communications, signal processing for wireless communication systems, and sensors. His research activities are mainly centered on issues related to antenna and wave propagation for wireless communication systems and their system aspects. In recent years, he has also been interested in: i) Antennas and antenna sensors; ii) Millimeter wave and massive multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) techniques; iii) Cooperative communications; iv) Physical-layer security of wireless systems; v) Game theory for optimizing the security of wireless systems; and vi) Machine learning techniques for solving problems in wireless systems. He has a Ph.D in telecommunications (2008), M.Sc in signal processing for communication systems (2005) and B.Sc in computer science (2003).
