About

Mudzakkir Dioktyanto (1996) is a researcher at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. He has a bachelor’s degree in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (Indonesia) and a master’s degree in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from University of Indonesia (Indonesia). He is also having 3.5 years working experience as researcher in private research institute named Nano Center Indonesia (Indonesia).

Research Interest

  • Materials processing and synthesis
  • Extraction Metallurgy
  • Recycling of Materials
  • Mechanical alloying
  • Failure analysis
  • Materials characterization and evaluation

He performs basic research on materials synthesis and processing using both bottom-up and top-down approach. His research focuses on how to modify the process utilizing any kind of materials resources (raw materials from nature, commercially metal oxide, waste, etc.) to get the final materials needed. This knowledge enables finding the most suitable methods for materials synthesis to make more economical, faster, or greener method.

He also have some experience in using characterization instruments: tensile test, hardness test, impact test, XRD, XRF, FTIR, particle size analyzer and zeta potential measurement, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, optical microscope, uv-vis spectroscopy and data analysis of SEM–EDS, TEM, BET, simultaneous thermal analysis. Understanding characteristic of materials is a key to place the materials under suitable processing or application.

Main topics of my research projects
