About

CV

I am a Mechanical Engineer teaching and researching in the field of renewable energy technologies and systems. I did my PhD (Dr. techn.) at Vienna University of Technology, Austria. I am currently a researcher at Department of Electric Energy, NTNU. Previously I have been Asociate Professor at Mekelle University, Ethiopia.

I am currently working on the research topic solar energy in Nordic climate conditions associated with Team Solar at NTNU.

Attached my brief CV.

Research

Current research topic:

Solar energy in Nordic climate: case study on PV systems integrated with thermal energy storage.

Research topics

Solar heating for industrial processes (SHIP)

Wind farm power performance assessment

Clean cooking with renewable energy technologies integrated with thermal energy storage

  • Team Solar

Energy Technology Network (EnergyNET)

EnergyNET is a project under the NORHED II and aims at bringing technical solutions from the laboratories into field testing. The emphasis has been on small scale off-grid energy systems for heating and cooling with heat storage.
