Background and activities

Current position: Head of the study program Automation in Ålesund.

Interests: Industrial control systems, big data, intelligent systemes, micro controllers, technical safety (SIL) and pedagogics (problem based and project based learning).

Teaching: Industrial control systems, instrumentation, cybernetics, intelligent systems (artificial intelligence), simulations and micro controllers. Mentoring B.Sc. and M.Sc. theses. 10 years.

Experience: Automation for vessels and offshore installations. Control systems for vessels, production process and subsea. Software development (databases and CNC machines). Participated in large offshore projects such as Snorre A, Troll C, Petrojarl Foinaven and Heidrun. experience as project manager and co-ordinator for a H2020 application. 13 years.
