About

I work in the field of high voltage apparatus, electrical machines and power electronics in the Electric Machines and Electromagnetics Group (EME). I am interested in how a system-oriented perspective and digital tools can help improve the design of electrical systems and components from the generation to the consumption side. I am active in the design of electric drive trains for offshore wind, maritime propulsion, and electric aircraft.

My research focus:

  • System-oriented, multi-disciplinary design and optimisation of electric machines
  • Insulation design for HVDC, HVAC and inverter-fed machines
  • Partial discharges

Received two research awards: Nowitech Innovation award (2015) and Grønn fases energipris (2016) for a compact, high voltage generator.
