About

Peter Damilare Oyinloye is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Information Systems and Software Engineering (ISSE) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Before joining NTNU, he was a lecturer in the Computer Science Department, Kwara State University,Malete, Nigeria. He obtained his PhD in Computer Science from the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM)  in 2023.

Peter’s research spans distributed ledger technologies(DLT), blockchain technologies, information security and cryptography. He has designed consensus protocols for critical areas such as energy, digital finance and supply chains, among others. He has also evaluated the performance, scalability, energy consumption and security of blockchain consensus protocols.

Currently, Peter’s research is centred on designing coordination, interoperability and security architectures for independent blockchain systems and critical infrastructures. Furthermore, as part of TRACE4EU, a consortium of 30 partners from 14 countries funded by the European Union’s DIGITAL Europe Programme, Peter is co-developing a Supply Chain Traceability and Interoperability System for Norwegian seafood. The system is designed to ensure traceability and data integrity throughout the supply chain and provides immutable traceability from the point of catch through to the consumer, with Professor Jingyue Li as PI.

Peter is a member of Sigma Xi, an invitation only Scientific Research Honor Society with more than 200 of her members winning the Nobel Prize. He is also a member of IEEE, ACM, British Computer Society (BCS), Computer Professional Council of Nigeria (CPN), Internet Society, African Blockchain Council,  Malaysia Blockchain Society.

Peter serves as a technical program committee member for the Blockchain and Internet of Things Conference (BIOTC) 2024 till date. And a member of the technical program committee of Cyber Science 2024 conference in Edinburgh, Scotland.
