Einar Rønquist
Background and activities
Einar Rønquist has been Head of Department at the Department of Mathematical Sciences since August 2013. He became a professor at the same department in 1999 and has held that position since. He belongs to the Differential equations and Numerical Analysis (DNA) group and was the group leader for this group 2010–2011.
Background
Einar Rønquist has a MSc degree (sivilingeniør) from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (formerly Norwegian Institute of Technology – NTH) (1980) and a PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology – MIT (1988).
Research interests
Numerical solution of partial differential equations; spectral element methods; reduced basis methods; computational fluid dynamics.
