I am an Associate Professor in the Section for Scandinavian Language and Literature, Department of Language and Literature, Faculty of Humanities, with a PhD in Scandinavian Literature from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

My PhD dissertation Den fødte forbryter. Diskursive brytninger i fremstillinger av kriminalitet og degenerasjon i norsk litteratur og offentlighet 1890-1910 (The Born Criminal) from 2016 studies representations of criminality and degeneration in Norway between 1890 and 1910.
