Thea Lurås Oftebro
About
I am a PhD candidate at the centre for technology and science. I study the ongoing development of offshore wind in Norway, with a particular focus on justice for local communities and the natural environment. Grounded in the field of Science and Technology Studies (STS), this thesis explores the relationship between science, technology, society, and the natural world, drawing upon key theories from STS. The primary methods used in the study is interviews, ethnographic fieldwork, and field-configuring events.
Prior to the PhD position I worked at SINTEF Ocean in the group of climate and sustainability. I have a master’s degree in Globalisation and Sustainable development from NTNU, and a bachelor degree in International Relations from The University of Lincoln, UK.
