Research

My Ph.D. project concerns the role of phenomenology in contemporary cognitive science. Can an understanding of the structures of lived experience contribute to scientific theories of life, mind and consciousness? Can these theories in return inform the phenomenological understanding? If so, how does this interaction between two apparently radically different approaches work?
