Background and activities

Vinay Chakravarthi, Gogineni is an ERCIM Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the department of electronic systems since August 2019. Earlier, he was a Research Associate at Sponsored Research and Industrial Consultancy, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur), India. Vinay earned a Ph.D. in electronics and electrical communication engineering from IIT Kharagpur, India, in 2019.

He received the B.Tech. degree in electronics and communication engineering and the M.Tech. degree in communication engineering in 2005 and 2008, respectively. From 2008 to 2011, he was with Cosyres Technologies, Bangalore, India, where he was involved in algorithmic-level optimization of audio codecs.

Research Interests:

My research effort lies on the intersection or bridges among completory areas like signal and information processing over multi-agent networks, energy-efficient cooperation, sparse signal processing, machine learning, and their VLSI (very-large-scale integration) implementation aspects. In particular, I focus on:

  • Distributed Estimation and Detection
  • Graph Signal Processing
  • Adaptive Signal Processing and Machine Learning
  • VLSI for Signal Processing
