About

Vivek Sinha has a PhD in industrial economics and technology management with a focus on entrepreneurship from NTNU. His prior education includes a master’s in business administration (MBA) from the Manchester Business School, UK and degrees in urban planning from India.

A firm believer in entrepreneurship as a catalyst for positive change, he has previously worked to support entrepreneurs focusing on challenges such as bringing financial services to the poor, providing access to the labour market for those lacking access, and providing electricity to rural communities using renewable energy technologies, in India and in the UK.

As a researcher and innovation manager, he works on facilitating innovation from research through developing and teaching courses on research-based innovation, facilitating interaction between academics, industry and the public sector, and development of collaborative research and education projects for the application of research to solve societal challenges.

Vivek’s primary research interests are in scaling of the impact of entrepreneurs’ interventions.

He is associated with two centers: Engage, focusing on entrepreneurship education and NTNU's Energy Transition Initiative , focusing on facilitating societal transition to future energy systems.
