About me

I completed my Masters in Medical Biochemistry from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University, India. I carried out my Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry from the Institute of Bioinformatics, Bangalore, India, and was awarded by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, India. My major contributions during my Ph.D. included the discovery of CAMKK2 as a potential therapeutic target for gastric cancer and the discovery of potential serum biomarkers for gastric cancer. Further, I was involved in the draft map of the human proteome project which was published in Nature, Netpath- a resource on signaling pathways and proteome projects on body fluids and eye tissues. I joined the Center for Systems Biology, Yenepoya University, India in 2015 as an Assistant Professor, where I applied proteomics and metabolomics approaches to study human diseases. In my current position as a researcher at IKOM, NTNU, I use Systems Biology approaches including proteomics, transcriptomics, and metabolomics as well as bioinformatics methods to study innate immunity and cancer biology.
