GoForIT

– What skills do future IT professionals need in sustainability?

The world faces significant environmental challenges where IT plays a central role, both as part of the problem and as part of the solution. The workforce and IT education must determine the necessary skills for strategic sustainability initiatives in the workplace and for IT education programs to successfully train candidates with relevant expertise. Excited actively participates in GoForIT, a collaboration between NTNU (Department of Computer Science and Informatics), the University of Agder, Bouvet ASA, and IKT Norge, inviting a collective effort for sustainability through collaboration between academia and the IT industry.

In this video, you can see the rectors of NTNU and UiA discussing the project:

On June 9, 2020, the project is hosting an input meeting where the IT industry can express its needs in this context. Registration via IKT Norge, with a deadline of June 6. Excited and NTNU contribute to this meeting by framing the issue within an educational/pedagogical perspective.
