About Women in midlife

Team Women in Midlife brings together expertise in health sciences and organizational development, both academically and methodologically, with the overarching goal of strengthening research that enhances our understanding of how to better facilitate a sustainable working life for women in midlife.

We aim to generate knowledge on how different life stages—particularly the transition to menopause—affect women's occupational health. Our research also explore the individual, social, cultural, and organizational factors that either support or hinder workforce participation among women in midlife.

Team Women in Midlife is affiliated with the National Network for Research on Menopause, Women’s Health, and Society. The network is a national, interdisciplinary network for academics who conduct research on menopause and related topics, such as women’s health, working life, musculoskeletal disorders, hormones, and quality of life.
