The high current/ circuit breaker laboratory consists of two test circuits:

Three phase circuit: 

3 MVA / 15 kA continuous operation (maximum short time current 140 kA )

One phase circuit:

- Test voltages: 6.9 – 24 kV

- Test currents from 400 to 1250 A

The one phase test circuit is specially designed for studying current interruption in medium voltage load break switches. Current amplitude and transient recovery voltage can be adjusted with high precision.
