Admission

The course is registered as a PhD course at NTNU and credited and graded according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) giving 7,5 ECTS credits . The course consists of 2 weeks of self-study (not required to be in Trondheim) and 2 weeks of intensive training sessions in Trondheim. Fulfillment of the course requires submission of a research paper.

There are no course fees, however you must cover funding of accommodation and travel expences yourself. We also point out that we do not have any scholarships available.

Who can apply?

Everyone who is qualified for a doctoral program can apply, which means that you have fulfilled a master degree and achieved an average grade of B or better. A basic knowledge of university-level mathematics/statistics is required.

How to apply:

All applicants, even NTNU students and PhD's must apply for admission on PSIE`s application form.

The application for admission must include:

  1. Curriculum vitae/resume
  2. 1 page cover letter explaining the motivation for attending the course
  3. Transcripts

Admission process

Everyone who gets accepted to the course will receive an e-mail confirmation from us after the deadline has expired. You will also receive further information about how to register as foreign exchange student at NTNU, and information about various accommodation choices in Trondheim.
