KONPAS

Helsedata

The aim of the KONPAS research project is to study and inform the development and configuration of the new electronic medical record system "Helseplattformen" currently being developed for the hospitals in central Norway.

"KONPAS has three research goals:

1.  User involvement: To establish best practice for involving future users (clinicians and patients) in the design of configurable electronic medical record systems.

2.  Patient empowerment: To establish best practice for developing health portals for patient empowerment.

3.  Standardization: To establish best practice for deciding when to standardize for a large number of clinics and hospitals, and when to make tailor-made solutions.”

The project is multidisciplinary, drawing on expertise in the team from medicine, health informatics, user-centred

design, human computer interaction, information systems research, and the social sciences. The PhD supervisors have an extensive international network in the above areas of expertise.

KONPAS is funded by NTNU´s Strategic Research Initiative “NTNU Health”.
