The 19th Nordic Workshop on Scattering from Soft Matter (NSSM-2023) was held in Trondheim on the 17th and 18th of January 2023, organized by the Soft and Complex Matter Lab at NTNU.

This event collected more than 60 onsite participants and approximately 10 online participants from 10 countries. The presentations covered aspects all the way from neutron scattering, high performance polymers and magnetotactic bacteria to the high intense X-ray sources and CO2 storage.

This fruitful event was supported by the Research Council of Norway. The 20th NSSM will be held in Uppsala, Sweden in early 2024.

The workshop brought together scientists working on various aspects of scattering from soft matter to discuss recent advances, fundamental challenges and emerging trends of this fascinating research field. NSSM-2023 was a lunch-to-lunch meeting, with a poster session and a dinner.
