Framework Progam

This program aims to develop a set of framework conditions for the technical, economic, climatic, and environmental factors that hydropower will need to relate to in the future.
In the Framework Programme, we conduct research on the development of market design, future power price dynamics, social and environmental frameworks, and climate impacts.
Future Hydropower Plants

Our goal is to develop innovative, economically and environmentally sustainable technologies to improve the flexibility of hydropower.
Among other things, we study designs for variable operation and flexibility, improved solutions for operation, maintenance and digital systems, and sediment management.
More power and energy

The goal of this program is to explore the potential and design of sustainable large-scale expansion of Norwegian hydropower to provide essential flexibility services and security of supply.
