RP 3 - Hydropower in a changing climate
Hydropower in a Changing Climate
Hydropower in a Changing Climate
Climate change has a significant impact on our river systems. This reasearch program focuses how we can develop innovative solutions and services to adapt and improve hydropower and reservoir capacity under a changing climate.
The goal is to develop innovative solutions and services to enhance and adapt hydropower and reservoir capacity in response to climate change.

- RP-3.1 Adaptation and opportunities for hydropower due to changed hydrological inflow and seasonality
The aim of the project is to deliver components to a digital twin integrating simulation of hydrology, hydraulics and water household.
- RP-3.2 Develop knowledge and strategies for the role of hydropower with reservoirs in climate adaptation
This project aims to generate new knowledge and develop strategies across multiple disciplines to address the role of hydropower with reservoirs in climate adaptation.
- RP-3.4 Climate change and ecological flows
This project aims to develop a win-win toolkit that balances hydropower production and environmental needs for ecological flow under changing inflow conditions.
