About AI and Resilient Societies

Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing how we learn, work and make decisions. But what happens when we rely too much on technology we don't fully understand? Discover how our researchers explore the opportunities and risks of AI, and how education and critical thinking can help build a safer, more resilient society.

AI can make education more accessible, support learning and help us make better decisions. But it also raises important questions about trust, inequality and our ability to think independently. Understanding both the benefits and limitations of AI is essential as the technology becomes part of everyday life.

In Team AI and Resilient Societies, we investigate how AI affects education, digital literacy and human judgment. We explore how people can develop the skills to use AI critically and responsibly, recognize its limitations and make informed decisions without becoming overly dependent on it.

Our research also examines how AI can create new vulnerabilities, widen digital inequalities and influence who holds power and control in society. By strengthening education and critical thinking, we aim to help individuals, communities and institutions become better prepared to navigate technological change.

Working across disciplines and together with schools, public authorities and other partners, we seek to ensure that AI is used in ways that benefit society, protect democratic values and strengthen societal resilience.
