Associate Professor at the Department of Design since 2022 with a research focus on Human-Centred AI and Interaction Design.
Research interests
My main research focus is on the intersection of Artificial intelligence and Interaction design investigating how advances in A.I. are changing the way we interact with technology. Specifically, I am exploring how intelligent assistants could be used to support behaviour change to promote health and mental wellbeing. I am also studying how our biases are influencing how we interact with AI and the ethical implications of the large-scale deployment of AI systems in our everyday life. In the past, my research revolved around interface aesthetics and the development of evaluation methodologies for visual design
