Geography is the study of people, society, nature and the interaction of these factors. Geographers are concerned with how we experience, shape and change our environments, both locally and globally. 

Academic profile

The one-year programme in Geography provides an introduction to topics in natural geography and human geography. The wide-ranging nature of this programme ensures that students gain insight into:

  • Social, political, economic and cultural factors that affect places
  • The different processes of change associated with climate, vegetation, society and the environment
  • How maps are made and interpreted

Admission

Language of instruction: Norwegian

You have to meet the Norwegian language requirements, or have a Scandinavian language as your mother tongue, if you want to  apply to any of NTNU's degree programmes.

You also must meet the basic requirement for admission, and demonstrate that you meet the English language requirements.

The application deadline for the programme is April 15th. Students apply through Samordna Opptak.
