Course content
3D-form. Colour.
Learning outcome
Introduction to problems concerning 3D forming and basic theory of form. Introduction to understanding and use of colour.
Knowledge:
Basic form grammar and use, understanding of colour and its use
Skills:
Modelling of physical materials, combining simple and complex forms in relation to practical and aesthetic functions, choosing and using colour for functional and aesthetic qualities.
Competence:
Ability to decide product form based on a fusion of functional and aesthetic needs. Choose and use colour functionally and aesthetically in relation to a products actual and cultural function.
Learning methods and activities
Exercises, individual supervision. Lectures, seminars, and student colloquia. The course is coordinated with the teaching in course TPD4105 Product Design 2 - IT.
