About the course

Course content

The subject gives an introduction to central elements of creativity, innovation and management of processes. The study program's core disciplines of marketing, innovation and leadership are closely related, and is all a prerequisite in order to succeed in the workplace of the future. The subject will emphasize application of knowledge and to train vital skills to be able to:

  • use creativity to identify new solutions
  • establish the foundation for succeeding with groupwork
  • being a constructive participant as well as being a process leader in development processes
  • challenge the established through critical thinking
  • communicate well, both oral and in writing
  • being solution oriented when faced with new challenges

Learning outcome

After completing the course the students should:

  • Have a good understanding of central concepts in process management and have knowledge on how to facilitate for good processes in innovation work and development projects.
  • Have basic knowledge on innovation, business models and how the combination of these can create business model innovation.
  • Have knowledge of innovation methodology through participation in a facilitated innovation process
  • Have the ability to lead shorter creative processes
  • Be able to collaborate well with others in order to complete a project, as well as being able to reflect on their own role in a team and in processes
  • Be able to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and convincing manner, both written, oral, and visual

Lectures, innovation camp, practicing on process management, groupwork, guidance sessions and presentations

Mandatory assignment. Mandatory attendance will be included as part of this. Information will be provided when the semester starts.

There will be no continuation exam in this course.

Previously approved mandatory assignments are valid until there are significant changes in the subject.
