Course content

Change management in projects of digital change. Digital transformation. Work and digital work. Habits, and motivation. Technology acceptance. Culture and identity. Change resistance and openness. Technostress and emotions. Process-based perspectives. Workarounds. Benefit realization. Digital change and artificial intelligence (AI).

Learning outcome

Knowledge

The candidate is able to:

  • describe ways of understanding work that involves use of traditional IT-solutions and emergent technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) in organisations
  • explain individual, social and organisational factors affecting work that involves digital technologies
  • discuss how change management can influence digital change
  • describe benefits and side effects connected to digital change

Skills

The candidate is able to:

  • Contribute to understanding the opportunities and challenges connected to digital change in organisations
  • Contribute to understanding new opportunities and challenges that emerge with digital change based on AI
  • Contribute in work of managing change processes where digital solutions is adopted and used

General knowledge

The candidate is able to:

  • Demonstrate understanding and insight into the importance of structured change processes when digital solutions are adopted and used
  • Show understanding and insight for how different technologies such as AI can drive change and digital transformation

Lecture, exercises individually and in groups which include both written deliveries and presentations.

Mandatory exercises must be approved to be allowed to take the exam.

The re-sit examination is held in August.

The re-sit exam might be changed to an oral exam.

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Digital Business Development (ITBAITBEDR)

The course is for students in Bachelor in Digital business development.
