Course content

Thermal turbomachinery design. Performance estimation. Process integration. Control and protection. Transient analysis. Emission control
Learning outcome
Knowledge: Knowledge related to; Detail design of compressors, gas turbines and wet gas compressors Performance estimation Transient analysis Emission control Formation of emissions to air Integration within process and power plant systems Digital twin technology for energy conservation. Skills: Skills related to; Detailed evaluation and analysis of thermal turbomachinery for process plants. Analysis of operational aspects and control, including the system interaction of compressors, gas turbines and wet gas compressors General competence: Competence within compressors, gas turbines and wet gas compressors, in order to perform design consideration, operational analysis and integration of thermal turbo machinery for process and power plant applications.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures and exercises. To pass the course a score of at least 70 percent is required. No of students, min 3.
